A franchisee works under a brand banner yet runs his or her own business: a very American concept but probably practiced by the Phoenecians. I have had many friends and associates who are franchisees. This is the full mix final edition.

Here's a rough mix (2009) of a tune that I have recorded several times in the past 30 years. When I first wrote it, the word "upscale" was not really in the vernacular and was basically advertising industry jargon for those on the upper end of the economic scale. This version is not to be confused with the magical version recorded with Mitch back in the 1980s. But just like you can re-read a book, you can re-record a song.

Hope there's something here that makes you go Ha ha ha!! Or even a modest chuckle. And for those of you who just don't get it—this song is especially for you.

Life is sweet in The Heights. Is this an anthem? A theme song? A tribute? A satire? Take your pick. When originally released this tune was in heavy rotation on the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce music-on-hold system. What an honor!
